Portal Messaging

Send messages and notifications to portal guests directly from within a portal.

Sending Messages

From the Messages Tab

  1. Open a portal
  2. Click the Messages tab
  3. Click Send New Message

Send Message Modal

  1. Select recipients from the dropdown
  2. Compose your message using the rich text editor
  3. Click Send

Message Features

The message composer includes:

  • Rich text formatting (bold, italic, lists)
  • Recipient selection (individual or all guests)
  • Subject line
  • Preview before sending

Message History

All messages sent through a portal are logged:

  • View sent messages in the Messages tab
  • See delivery status
  • Track who received notifications

Notification Emails

When you send a message:

  • Recipients receive an email notification
  • Email includes your message content
  • Link to the portal is included

Best Practices

Clear Subject Lines

Use descriptive subject lines:

  • "Documents ready for review"
  • "Signature required by Friday"
  • "Updated tax forms available"

Appropriate Recipients

Select the right recipients:

  • All guests for general announcements
  • Individual guests for specific requests
  • Team members for internal updates
